Pedro Mendes is a Portuguese architect with 24 years of professional experience.
At the beginning of his career, between 1991 and 1995, worked in the office of the architect Eduardo Souto de Moura (Pritzker Prize 2011), where he had the opportunity to meet, develop and coordinate a vast and broad variety of projects such as the development of public and prived buildings and urban public spaces.

Since 1997 he settled his own office (Pedro Mendes Arquitectos, Lda) where the projects undertaken comprehend and include urban requalification, refurbishment and preservation of the heritage, development of housing typologies such as single houses, condos and office buildings, manufacturing typologies, public equipments such as school, cultural, and community buildings in the cities of Lisbon, Oporto, Sintra, Alcanena, Almada, Matosinhos, Estoril, Amadora, etc.
